Managing multiple tasks and deadlines, especially during busy periods.
Input patient data into practice management system.
Explain and assist patients with necessary forms, such as consent forms, HIPAA forms, and insurance details.
Ensure all required documents are signed and submitted.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility by contacting insurance companies or using online portals.
Ensure that patients have the appropriate insurance coverage for the services they are seeking.
Identify any discrepancies in coverage and assist patients in resolving these issues before their appointments.
Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies for treatments, procedures, or medications.
Follow up with insurance companies to obtain approval for necessary medical services.
Document authorization statuses and communicate with patients or healthcare providers regarding approval/denial.
Work closely with Internal departments to ensure that authorizations are obtained in a timely manner.
Assist Clinical team in submitting the appropriate clinical documentation required by insurance companies for approval.
Inform patients of their insurance coverage status, including any issues with authorizations or referrals.
Communicate potential delays or denials to patients and provide alternative options or next steps.
Ensure all authorization processes comply with insurance guidelines, state regulations, and healthcare standards.
Maintain detailed records of authorization requests, approvals, and denials.
Help ensure timely and accurate billing by providing necessary information to the billing department.
Gather and verify patient information, such as personal details, medical history, and insurance coverage.
